Geology in Your Backyard

Unearth some outdoor activities this summer with rocks and fossils! You can find interesting rocks just about anywhere, and each one has a story to tell. Join us for two hands-on discovery sessions as we learn all about the geology right in our own backyard. Together we'll investigate types of rocks and minerals, paint with sand, and even dig up a fossil or two. These activities will be a mix of observation skills, craft projects, and outdoor exploration-- join us for one or both!

Hosted by the Bitterroot Public Library, this event requires advance registration. For kids ages 6 and up.
